Have Your Voice Heard on Medicaid Expansion

This Thursday, April 11 at 9 AM, the Michigan House Appropriations Committee will have a hearing during which they will decide whether or not to include Medicaid expansion in this year’s budget.  The Michigan Senate Appropriations Community Health Subcommittee will also have a hearing on Thursday, April 11 at 1PM to decide whether or not to include Medicaid expansion in their budget recommendation.

If the Medicaid expansion passes in Michigan, 44% of the uninsured in Kent County will have health coverage.  That’s 32,199 people.
