Today’s Activity: Identify a New Plant

After getting to know your ecoregion last week your mind might be swirling with planting ideas. One thing that stops people from diving-in can be their unfamiliarity with identifying plants. This week we want to start you down the path of embracing your inner plant ID-guru.

Start by reading our article on identifying plants. Next, head outside and challenge yourself to identify a plant you don’t know. And finally? Head to your computer, log-in to the Habitat Network and identify a plant on your map. Trees are a great place to start. In fact, we challenge you to ID all the trees on your map.
