Help Point Us in the Right Direction

We know that times are changing and we want to be responsive to your evolving needs. We've put together a brief survey to help us better understand your professional development needs and how you prefer to meet them. As a thanks for filling out the survey, we'll be giving a free Bird Academy course to 10 randomly-selected participants who complete the survey by December 31, 2022

Free K-8 Workshop in Arizona!

You're invited to join us for a free workshop on Saturday and Sunday, February 11-12, 2023, at the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center, in Phoenix, Arizona. In this fun, two-day learning experience you’ll practice citizen science, get to spend time outdoors, and learn more about birds. Choose the K-2, or 3-5, or 6-8 version of eBird Explorers curriculum kit, and leave ready to use these hands-on materials in your classroom.  Apply by January 4, 2023, to secure your spot!

Free Webinar - eBird Explorers Choose Your Own Adventure: K-5 & 6-12

Want to learn more about our suite of eBird Explorers curricula and how they can help you and your students participate in citizen science while exploring grade-appropriate content? In this hour-long, interactive webinar, we'll break into K-5 and 6-12 groups so you can get a closer look at the curriculum that's right for you. We'll explore hands-on lessons that connect kids to nature through the world of birds while making careful observations, collecting and exploring data and patterns, and building STEM practices. Join us for this eBird adventure on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 @ 7:00PM ET.

Welcome Stephanie!

We're so excited to introduce you to our newest staff member, Stephanie Somerville Zamora! Born and raised in Costa Rica, Stephanie developed a passion for nature, which led her to earn her B.S. in Biology from the University of Costa Rica and M.S. in Natural Resources with an emphasis in Environmental Education and Interpretation from UW-Stevens Point. Stephanie is passionate about conservation and outdoor learning. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, camping, identifying plants and wildlife, reading, and researching genealogy.
