2020 CSA sign up is here!
Now is the time to sign up! Each year we strive to provide our CSA members with a wide variety of high quality produce throughout the growing season while promoting long-term soil health and providing a beautiful and dynamic community space. We appreciate your continued support of the Sylvester Manor CSA. Please read on for details on length of season, subscription options and how to register.

How long does it last? The 2020 CSA will run 21 weeks in full (June 10, 2020 - October 31, 2020). Subscribers will pick up their shares on either Saturdays (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM) or Wednesdays (5:30 PM - 6:30 PM) each week.

How much does it cost? We offer four types of traditional subscriptions: Full Share, Partial Share, Full Volunteer Share, and Partial Volunteer Share. The cost of a Full Share is $1005 (less than $50/week). The cost of a Partial Share is $531 (about $25/week). The cost of a Full Volunteer Share is $905. The cost of a Partial Volunteer Share is $481. It is our intention to provide you with 10-20% more than the farmstand retail value of your share. We encourage you to send along a friend or neighbor if you are unable to make it to a pickup. 

Bread Share. In 2020 we will again be offering breads from Blue Duck Bakery weekly in the form of a Bread Share add-on for $129. Signing up for a Bread Share guarantees you a loaf each week (pickup will be on Saturdays only) at roughly 10% off it's retail value. We will continue to sell a selection of Blue Duck Breads at the farmstand. 

What is my volunteer commitment? If you sign up for a non-volunteer share, you have no volunteer commitment to fulfill. Full volunteer shares commit to 10 hours per season and partial volunteer shares commit to 5 hours per season. If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer commitment by the end of the season, you will be billed for the difference.

How do I sign up? To register for the 2020 CSA, visit the registration page. When prompted, please use the password: tomato. In order to ensure enrollment, current subscribers must submit a completed form and payment by February 1, 2020. After this date, all unsubscribed shares will be released to other interested community members. If you have friends who are interested in joining the CSA, please direct them to the CSA page of our website www.sylvestermanor.org/csa where they can add their name to our CSA inquiry list or have them e-mail info@sylvestermanor.org.

How do I pay? The registration page (password: tomato) will give you two payment options. To pay by credit card, simply scroll down to "Pay Online" and select desired share-size (there will be a 3% processing fee for credit card orders). Alternatively, you may fill out the information under "Pay by Check" click "submit" and then mail your check to Sylvester Manor, Box 2029, Shelter Island, NY 11964.  

Farmstand Credit: We will again be offering the Farmstand Credit Option for those interested in having more choice regarding quantity, variety and pickup times. The cost will again be $500 and can be used towards any food products at 10% off (with the exception of Acabonac Farms Beef). Farmstand Credit is subject to availability and must be used by the end of the 2020 farm season.
