Do you need clarification around governance? Are you a trustee or committee member? Are you employed by a board?
 
Join expert Wayne Hudson for our latest workshop exploring governance for non-profits.
 
In the workshop we will:
  • Explore the concept of governance and how to distinguish it from management
  • Examine the core functions of a board and roles
  • Look at the structure and composition of committees and boards
  • Explore the relationship between boards and management
  • Identify procedures for committee and general meetings
The session will provide participants with a thorough insight into governance in an informative and enjoyable workshop facilitated by the personable and experienced Wayne Hudson. 
When:      Monday 9th March 6pm - 8pm 

Where:    Queenstown Events Centre - main meeting room upstairs (accessible via the lift if required)

Cost:       $20 +GST

Transport: Please let us know if you are travelling from outside of Queenstown and are keen to car pool and we will do our best to coordinate.

Wayne has more than 30 years experience in commercial and corporate law and currently works as a legal consultant and sole director of WHIPIT Limited, a company that assists technology start-up companies to prepare for growth, investment and sale.

Additionally Wayne has spent many hours on various boards both nationally and locally, including Cycling New Zealand, Alpine Community Development Trust and Startup Queenstown Lakes Trust.

In his free time, Wayne has been accumulated 17 national fencing titles, is a keen cyclist, enthusiastic skier and when the roads are too rough to ride he can be found in the hills enjoying a tramp. He also enjoys rock and blues music, sci-fi novels, medieval historical fiction and good red wine.
Wayne has generously donated his time to facilitate this workshop to strengthen non-profits in attendance. Please join us in thanking Wayne for sharing his knowledge and time.
