About E. Brady Robinson
E. Brady Robinson is a DC based photographer and Associate Professor in the School of Visual Arts and Design at the University of Central Florida. She teaches Professional Practices in Art for the Emerging Media, MFA program at UCF. Robinson is Contributing Writer for Professional Artist Magazine and covers opportunities for emerging artists, contemporary photography and the int’l art market. She is the author of “Pocket Guide to Self‐Publishing for Artists” published by Professional Artist Magazine. Robinson is represented by Addison/Ripley Fine Art in Washington D.C. Her documentary Art Desks will be published by Daylight Books this fall and distributed by D.A.P. Robinson has taught workshops for FotoWeekDC, The Historical Society of Washington, DC, The Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass Village, Colorado, The Aspen Art Museum, Georgetown University and The Corcoran College of Art + Design.

About the Fridge
The Fridge DC is an art gallery, performance space, music venue and classroom located on Barracks Row in the historic Eastern Market neighborhood of Washington, DC. We opened our doors in 2009. The Fridge is dedicated to making the arts accessible to everyone. We foster community dialogue by serving as a creative lab for expression through art.

Photobooks and Publishing Opportunities with E. Brady Robinson and the founders of Empty Stretch, Nathaniel Grann and Jordan Swartz hosted by The Fridge in Washington, DC. This 2 hour workshop will cover publishing opportunities for photographers and the pros/cons of self-publishing vs. going with a publisher.

Instructors will share their experience in the photo publishing industry and provide an overview of the opportunities for publishing photographs in today’s market and how to reach new audiences for your work.

May 24th

Fundraising Strategies for Artists with E. Brady Robinson hosted by The Fridge in Washington, DC. In this 2 hour workshop students will learn fundraising strategies to support new projects including setting goals, identifying donors, utilizing social media and the pros/cons to crowd-sourced fundraising.

In November 2013, Robinson used IndieGoGo to help raise money to publish her book Art Desks. During the month of April,  she was able to reach her fundraising goal through private fundraising to cover the costs of a full run photo book publication. Come hear her story and implement a plan to fund your dream project.
