You will get to know the international volunteers and the host organisation and develop your leadership skills. Volunteering experience is essential. You must be over 21 and have good communication and organisational skills.  Support is provided by VSI during the projects and a special Coordinator Training Course is planned for early May (see below). This is a volunteer role, there are no fees, your travel expenses within Ireland are covered and your food and accommodation are free. More details here

We also need people to visit our projects to meet the volunteer groups and the host at the beginning and at the end of projects. If you're interested but not sure you have the skills or experience, contact Helen in VSI helen@vsi.ie or sign up for the training – More details

  • Do you have any photos from your volunteering time with VSI? It would be great if we could get a copy perhaps with a short story.
  • Write a short story of your volunteering experiences with VSI for the website.
  • Would you be willing to be interviewed about your volunteering experience?
  • Do you have any documents from VSI – AGM minutes; annual reports; project reports, press cuttings etc - especially the years 1965 to 1975?
