Making a difference with the Community Renewal Fund
The Community Renewal Fund is coming.
Over the next few weeks, local ‘Lead Authorities’ across Great Britain will be inviting project bids to support local employment, skills and community investment. With £200 million in grant funding to be spent by next March, the CRF is a great opportunity for all of us to work to support good employment and an inclusive recovery.
A requirement for all bids is to have a clear evaluation plan and at least £10,000 set aside to fund this. So if you’re thinking of bidding for the fund but aren’t sure yet on how to evaluate your project, then we can help.
At IES, we believe that project evaluation should be about much more than just reporting on what was delivered and how much was spent. Good research and evaluation should help us all to understand what is working, for whom and why; and how we can improve outcomes and achieve greater impact. We also want to work across projects, to help share learning and build a community of practice to support lasting change.
We are a non-profit charity, and our team of 30 researchers and analysts are working across the UK with local and national governments, service providers and a range of employers to support full employment and to make work better.
