Shoot ‘N’ Skoot Hits Target!
Our 7th annual event at the National Shooting Complex drew nearly 200 shooters and a record eight cookers. Tastiest brisket went to M & S Engineering. Patrick Howard from M & S was the lucky winner of the raffle for a 424 Berretta SxS, Winning shoot teams included Braun Intertech, FA Nunnelly, JP Hart, Terracon, and TTG.
Three AIA ladies were sharp shooters at the Shoot ‘N’ Skoot. Carolyn Pike, AIA from Marmon Mok was Lady’s Champion on the Green Course. Beverly Baldwin from Alamo Architects aced it on the Blue Course and Brittany Haberstroh from LPA hit gold on the Yellow Course.

TxA’s Nominating Committee named Mike McGlone, AIA as the 2018 TxA President-Elect. The Slate of Officers will be confirmed at the Board Meeting in San Antonio this November.
Poteet Architects’ King William Pool Pavilion received an award from the 2016 Custom Home Design Awards program in the Accessory Building/outdoor space category. This annual program celebrates excellence and innovation in residential design.
Former AIA San Antonio Executive Director, Sally Buchanan, lost her valiant battle with cancer on July 30. Sally was a passionate advocate for the built environment and all things good for San Antonio - we will miss her dearly.
