Wake up Mr. Turtle and participate in stories, activities, crafts, and other fun literacy builders. One program, but different times and days to come and enjoy the fun.

Do you need a big open space to use your wheels? Come join us in the south end of the parking lot to have fun on your wheels. Scooters, bikes, trikes, skateboards, roller skates, or anything that has wheels. Don't forget your helmets.

Teens, thinking about creating a cosplay costume? Try out  Worbla, a thermoplastic, to create a wrist guard/bracer from the fandom of your choice. Please have concept art upon arrival for the first program. This is a multi-part program so please check your availability before registering. Open studio is to provide space and time to work on your project with help available.

Grab some friends and join us for some fun, classic, spooky movies just in time for Halloween! Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks!

Not sure how to use the tablet or smart phone your kids thought you needed? Be a part of our Grandma’s Got Gmail outreach program. We have teamed up with volunteers from Eastern Illinois University’s Civic Engagement and Volunteerism that can work with you one on one to help you with all of your technology needs. Anything from, “What’s an App?” to “How do I put a profile picture on Facebook?” Feel free to bring your own devices and any questions you have. Hope to see you and your friends there!
The Science of Minerals and Crystals

Two quick and easy Halloween projects for our October Craft Night. Get creative with a peat pot ‘carving’ your own pumpkin face or anything else Halloween. Then take a mason jar and make your own Halloween mini scene from decorative materials that will be on hand.

Senior Social Group: How to Stay Young

Join us for a “How To Stay Young for the First 100 Years” presented by Mattoon Chiropractic. Their presentation will cover how long life reveals a greater potential to experience health problems after the age of 50 if we neglect our health. And will teach you how to avoid and prevent spinal disorder to help assure everyone can enjoy their extended life. They will also provide FREE spinal screenings. These screenings are quick and painless, and only takes 3 minutes! Screenings are designed to assist with things such as preventing injuries and improving productivity. Bring a friend!
