It's Showtime at Your Library
Summer Read

 Entries accepted June 3-July 28, 2019
ALL AGES are welcome and encouraged to participate!
 
What is it?
An 8 week reading/activity oriented program. Once you
complete and submit your reading/activity, you’ll receive a prize and be eligible for a grand prize!
 
How do I join?
No registration required. Each week you will submit the goal you have completed online at www.charlestonlibrary.org.
Please ask Staff for any help with submissions.
 
Where do I claim the prizes?
All Adult prizes may be claimed at the Service Desk or the
Information Desk. All Babies/Kids/Teens prizes may be claimed at the KidSpace Desk.

Grand Prize Drawing Friday, August 2nd!  
You do not need to be present to win.

Community Sticker Mosiac

Help us discover the hidden picture in our Sticker-By-Letter Mosaic!
Ask at the KidSpace desk for stickers then use the color key to place your sticker on the correct letter square to help us create a sticker mosaic and reveal the hidden picture!
Design a Hole for the 4th Annual Mini Golf in the Stacks
All ages: Kids under 16 with an adult.
Sign up to design a hole at the KidSpace Desk between June 3-14.
Design a mini golf hole! Sign up to build and bring your golf hole design to the library for patrons to play through on Tuesday, June 18! Stop by the KidSpace Desk for more information about how you can participate.
 
Food for Fines 
June 1-30, 2019
For every 1 food item that you bring to the check out desk,
we will waive $1 in fines. Limit 10 items per card.
Sorry, no credits for future fines.
ALL FOOD WILL BE DONATED TO THECHARLESTON FOOD PANTRY.

Fossil Trackways 
Wednesday, June 12

Presented by Katie Lewadowski, Associate Professor of Geology at EIU. Learn about Body Fossils and Fossil Tracks and discover how we know about ancient life! See some suites of fossils then recreate some existing fossil trackways to see what interpretations we can make from them.
