The City of Winnipeg is hosting two public open houses about the development of the Pedestrian and Cycling Strategies! Come offer your kid-friendly input about the draft city-wide bicycle and pedestrian network, as well as draft recommendations for new policies related to Active Transportation.
SATURDAY APRIL 12th, 11 am - 4 pm, Manitoba Theatre for Young People (MTYP) at The Forks
TUESDAY, APRIL 15th, 3-8 pm at BOTH the Sinclair Park Community Centre (490 Sinclair St) AND the Manitoba Hydro Place Atrium (360 Portage Ave).

Presidents' Council Award Winner Janice Lukes and Pembina Trails School Division Trustees at the March 13th awards ceremony.
Special congratulations to Janice Lukes, Ecole St. Avila Parent Volunteer, and Active and Safe Routes to School Champion who won the prestigious Presidents' Council Award from the Manitoba School Boards Association. The Presidents' Council Award celebrates exemplary service and outstanding achievement, innovative thinking and personal initiative, and lasting and pervasive impact in the field of public education.
Janice was recognized for her contributions to the school community including her involvement with the School Travel Plan development at Ecole St. Avila, and the creation of a community walking & cycling map of University Heights, the University of Manitoba and Fort Richmond.
Janice, we are proud of you and so lucky to have you in our corner!
