Reading Guide for Lent

We express our sympathy to Dawn (Rick) Petzak (3653 Elk Ct. Zeeland) in the passing of her stepfather, Jim Bowman, who passed away unexpectedly on Sunday at the age of 88.

Melissa VanHoven (9000 Ransom, Zeeland) has been in and out of ICU at Zeeland Hospital this week with pneumonia.  As of Friday morning they are planning to put her on a ventilator and transfer her to Blodgett where they will do a bronchoscopy and monitor her lungs more closely.  Please pray for healing in her lungs and that she won't have to be on the vent for very long.

Jeanne Sovienski’s (767 S. Meadow Ct., Holland 49423) granddaughter, Brittnee, will need 24/7 care when she’s released from the hospital.  Please pray for discernment as the doctors and family work together to determine the best plan moving forward.

Rick DeVisser (286 Dartmouth, Holland 49423) has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will be meeting with doctors on March 3rd to determine the course of treatment - surgery or radiation.

Joyce Torrence (2472 Sawtooth Ct., Holland 49424) underwent surgery on February 24 for spinal fusion.

Jodi Ensing (10936 2 Trax Trl, West Olive 49460) has an intestinal blockage and cancerous mass on her ovary.  They’re hoping to resolve the blockage without surgery.  A consultation, PET scan, and surgery to remove the mass is being scheduled at this time.  Please keep Jodi and family in prayer.

Nick Borgman (605 E Lincoln Ave., Zeeland) underwent surgery at Holland Hospital on February 22nd to remove a cyst and is recovering at home.

Audrina Knoper (age 12), daughter of Cody & Danielle (10015 Blair, Zeeland) has been dealing with epilepsy the past several years.  She recently had some tests done to try and determine some next steps.  They will hear back from the neurologist in a few weeks.

Kim Parker (11518 S. Lake Drive, Holland 49424) is dealing with iron deficiency, causing her to feel chronically tired.

Lucas (Katrina) Smith (4556 Salem Dr., Hudsonville 49426) is in Spectrum Butterworth Hospital after emergency surgeries to repair a torn aorta.  He continues to improve slowly.

Rose Houtman (230 S. State St., Unit 120, Zeeland) is seeing improvement in her feet and legs!

Michelle (Dan) VandenBerg's (281 101st Ave., Zeeland) mom, Linda Creekmore, is under Hospice care due to long-term effects of COVID.

Thank you for the cards, phone calls, and prayers following the passing of my sister-in-law, Betty Kamps. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated.  Thank you to Pastor Kurt for calling.  - Joyce DenBesten
