6th World Tour – That's a Wrap
Sometimes the birth of RAD AND HUNGRY seems like a fairy tale – a fantasy too good to be true. Born from a dream, goin' for broke. Limited resources, and equipped with only one number – how much time was I willing to risk to live out my dream?

Time is the most valuable thing we own. Once I committed to makin' my dream happen, I decided the risk was gonna be totally inspired by how I want to work, what I want to create, who I want to work with – and I had to be 100% proud of the rad I was putting out in the world. I set out to move slow. To transfer mad amounts of love into everything – from the items I selected for the
STMT Kits, to the posters I designed and signed, to each kit I wrapped… I wanted to be part of every single step AND I wanted to be accessible for customers.
RAD AND HUNGRY 6th World Tour
So how did my want of all things lo-fi, my desire for a very hands-on work culture where time is our BFF, turn into a frantic-paced, grunting and grinding machine that needs to be a well-oiled, slick operation? Is it crazy that I retreat from the idea of a slick operation (been there, done that) and instead hold on tight to that dream where puttering can get shit done?

I'm trying to find the balance but don't have an answer. I'm trusting that putting energy and love out in the world will continue to be the foundation of RAD AND HUNGRY. That our community of fans, collaborators, and friends get where we're coming from, where we're at, and what we create. I got so much love for the makers we meet, the goods we score, the low-down adventures we share, and for y'all!

We wrap up our 6th World Tour at the end of this month. 2016 has been one long, mad crazy, rad-filled ride. We added 7 new countries to the RAH World Tour (if you’re countin’, we’re now up to 66 sourcing trips, 43 countries and 6 years), we completed our longest journey to hunt down goods (hello,
South Africa!), I had a fairy-tale-worthy sourcing trip with my parents, we visited Hobbiton. We moved RAH headquarters to an amazing building in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square. We had goods featured in a Tegan and Sara music video and were interviewed for the beautiful book Stationery Fever. Amidst all the crazy runaround, the back-breakin' bag-hauling adventures, the dusk-to-down work parties – there was a lot of awesome.

To all you RAHstrs – thank you. Thank you for caring about RAD AND HUNGRY. You guys allow us to do what we love, you cheer us on, you always have our backs. And we’ll always have yours.
