We got a DIY tutorial this month with old-school roots.
My mom always writes with a pen. Never ever have I seen her write a list or note in pencil. 20+ years later and she’s got the same pen jar, placed in the same exact spot with the same number of pens – five. Black ink, blue ink, fine-tip or phat… but one thing in common. A thin, blue rubber band from the Korean grocery store that previously held together a pack of Pa (green onions). My mom wrapped a rubber band around the front of each pen barrel to create a grip.
The “instagrip” drove me crazy. As a kid, they were so not cool. Fast forward years later and now I can’t use a pencil without an instagrip!
Stepped up the game with neon-colored bands. Turns out rubber bands are like sriracha sauce – they make everything damn fine. Look around RAH HQ and rubber bands are everywhere. They dress up and work as closures for notepads, they mark the spot and seal in all the loose notes and maps collected during a sourcing trip. They organize bundles of twine, cut and ready to use for wrapping STMT Kits.
Check out our DIY Tutorial on how to pimp out your office supplies using rubber bands. Even better? Buy an STMT Kit today, and we’ll throw in a Rubber Band Pimp Pack for free. Tricked-out pencils rockin’ neon bands? Supafly.
