Parallel multiverses.

Discover more outstanding African films this month starting with BAAMUM NAFI  (Mamadou Dia; Senegal, 2019. Fiction). Showing on Sunday, March 14, the film is Senegal's official submission to the 93rd Academy Awards (International Feature Film).
And on March 21, join us on an odyssey across Africa and its diaspora with Season 6 of the Quartiers Lointains short film programme. Titled AFROFUTURISTIK, it features a selection of films from Morocco, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, and DR Congo.

About BAAMUM NAFI/Nafi's Father 
In a small town in Senegal, two brothers clash over the marriage of their children. Two visions of the world clash, one moderate, the other radical. Young Nafi and Tokara dream of going to study in Dakar, the capital, and of living with their times. About this edition
Quartiers Lointains’ 6th Season returns to Africa, this time proposing a selection of Afrofuturist short films that  question the African imaginary and its oral and visual transmission in the 21st century. This season, titled 'Afrofuturistik' is sponsored by the Senegalese artist Selly Raby Kane, and is composed of five short fiction and documentary films made by filmmakers from Morocco, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
