CAN'T BE WHAT YOU CAN'T SEE - EXHIBITION
‘Can’t Be What You Can’t See’ Exhibition debuts on 2nd November 2019. This exhibition offers a response to how Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women of today interpret and react to certain stories in history that have somewhat been forgotten and also shine a light on the lack of inclusion of BAME British women in mainstream history, bringing together over 50 BAME women creatives to develop and create the exhibition using 5 creative disciplines: Spoken Word, Photography, Set Design, Film and Visual Arts.

‘Can’t Be What You Can’t See’ exhibition opens at 14 Hanbury Street E1 6QL just off Brick Lane from 2 November to 5 November and will then be moving to the N22 Open Studios from 7 November to 14 November at Collage Artspace 4, Library Mall, 191 High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6DZ.

AND THE DOOR OPENED - EXHIBITION

Come and join us for the launch of ‘And The Door Opened,’ a ceramic project by Collage Arts artist Claudia Clare in partnership with Women @the Well, on 25 November at Artspace 4.

Women @the Well is a women-only service located in Kings Cross dedicated to supporting women whose lives are affected by or at risk of being affected by prostitution.

‘And The Door Opened,’ is a series of events with displays of Claudia’s pots, talks, demonstrations and conversations that together illustrate the stories of women wanting to leave, ‘exit’ prostitution.

The aim is to improve to the public understanding of what prostitution is and that with the right support, girls and women do not need to live and die exploited in the sex trade – there are ways out.

Professional storyteller, play-maker and rumpus orchestrator. Come along to Karamel on Saturday 7 December for participatory storytelling for the family! Think hat-stealing monkeys, rivers of porridge, gargantuan turnips. Occasionally there is a need to bust open the dressing up box, create a raging parachute ocean or simply just chase some bubbles, so she has that covered too.
