OLD MCDONALD AND THE THREE PIGS PLUS...    

The Three Pigs are fed up with singing “Eee aye eee aye oh!” every day and bravely decide to move away from Old McDonald’s farm. The big bad Wolf is on the prowl, but beware, join the kind farmer and all of their animal friends  in helping the little pigs build homes of their own,  Can you help save the day and stop the wolf blowing all the pigs hard work away?


Starts 11.30am. Entry FREE.  Family Friendly and All Welcome.

COLLAGE KIDS returns to KARAMEL for the new season on Sat 28 SEPT at 11.30am 

MRS H AND THE SING-ALONG BAND!! 

Mrs H joins us with her intoxicating brand of family music to Karamel. Packed with lots of songs you can sing along and dance to – all generations can join along with the fun! Come along and shake some shakers, dance down the aisles and sing as loud as you can.

ARTS AND CRAFTS WORKSHOPS 

School's out and summer has begun, it's time to get crafty with our Kids Crafts Club, arts and design workshops
from the creative shopfront setting of Collage Artspace 4 in the Wood Green's Library Mall. 


 
KIDS CRAFTS CLUB 
with Rachel, designer-maker

Monday and Wednesday mornings from 11am - 12.30pm in August
Age range 5 to 12 year olds, must be accompanied by an adult

Fly by and Say hi
Make and decorate your own ‘you sized’ pair of insect or butterfly wings that you can take and wear at home.
Old clothes are advisable as this will be a messy activity.

'Watch your fingers'
Make a Venus fly trap puppet complete with it’s own bugs but watch out as these guys bite!

Shades
Fancy making your own funky sun glasses?
Make pair of tropical decorated sun glasses complete with flowers and flamingos or create a disguise and add a moustache so no one knows who your are.

Clothes peg creations
So what can you make out of pegs, you know the things your Mum hangs the clothes out with?
Birds, aeroplanes, insects , crocodiles, who knows!  Come and see what you can make.

Each session of 1.5 hours costs £7 for children aged 5 to 12 years old with an accompanying adult (+ siblings can join in for £5 per session) 

OR £42 for all 6 craft sessions for children aged 5 to 12 years old with an accompanying adult (+ siblings can join in for £30 for 6 sessions).

Booking essential.   

The Kids Crafts Club will continue during term times for 5 to 12 year olds with an accompanying adult, on Saturday mornings from Sat 21 September.

HENNA and RANGOLI 
with Namaste Hippy, holistic ethnic arts and crafts 

Open to adults and children aged 7 and over.  Younger children (under-13s) must be accompanied by an adult.
Tuesdays and Thursdays in August
 
 
Henna design and Bamboo flute painting
Workshops for adults and children aged 7+
A form of body art originating from the Indian subcontinent, in which decorative designs are created on a person's body, using a paste, created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant. These workshops will develop your designs, ideas and know-how of working with henna.  Bamboo flute painting activities are included for younger participants.  
When: Tuesday 6 August or 13 August from 11am - 1pm
Thursday
8 August or 15 August from 2pm - 4pm

Rangoli design 
Workshops for adults and children aged 7+
Rangoli designs are created on the floor in front of homes during festival periods. These workshops will introduce you to design techniques for Rangoli and help develop your skills in creating Rangoli using food grains.   
When:
Tuesday 6 August or 13 August from 2pm - 4pm
Thursday 8 August or 15 August from 11am - 1pm 
 
Each 2 hour session is £10 per participant (note: children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult) OR £20 for a full day.

Bollywood dance
Workshops for women of all ages every Tuesday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.  
Get into Bollywood Dance - low impact, fun for all ages, improve health & fitness along to an uplifting soundtrack. 
Note the venue for dance is: The Community Hub, 8 Caxton Road, Wood Green N22 6TB

 Book a 10-week block and pay £70 (£7 per week).OR 
£10 per session on a drop-in basis.

Workshop to develop your painting techniques in an outdoor setting in Wood Green or Alexandra Palace (location tbc).

PODCAST workshop with the  Collage Works team
Introduction to the world of podcasting. Learn about podcasts and the equipment needed, platforms, recording tools and what to buy on a small budget.  
Saturday 21 September from 11am to 4.30pm.  
£30 per person
Essential info - all participants must have an iPhone or Android phone + headphones.

Summer Celebration at Ally Pally 

They Came Before Us and BAME BABES will be 
at Ally Pally on Saturday 17th August
for The Great Fete from 12noon onwards.

THEY CAME BEFORE US is a heritage and arts project run by ethnic minority women aged 18 to 30 years old - highlighting Women of Colour and the contributions they made within the history of London. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Collage Voices 
AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY WEEK OF LEARNING CIRCUS, PERFORMANCE SKILLS, SET DESIGN & FILMING


Curious and inquisitive 8 to 16 year olds are invited to join the Voices summer holiday week long of learning and have some serious fun  before school starts. 

Meet other creative young people, work together and make something new, gain new skills as a performer or as a maker.

No prior experience needed.   
£160 for the whole week from Tuesday 27th August to Saturday 31st August with lunch included.  
Reduced price places available for siblings and families in Haringey in need of support. Sessions start each morning at Karamel.

Emerge  
Festival of museum lates 

Collage Arts are pleased to announce that we are working with Culture24 and The Big Issue on the Emerge Festival this September. Three of our emerging singer-songwriters, artists and bands are performing in this exciting opportunity of gigs taking place across 50 iconic venues in London. We will be following their journeys in the run-up to the weekend of 27-28 September. Watch this space...
