July Prayer Guide

We regularly provide a calendar-based prayer guide for congregants to use as they pray privately. You are encouraged to save this or print it out and keep it somewhere where you'll be reminded to use it as you pray. Please find the July 2020 Prayer Calendar.
Masks Mandatory in Seminole County

Effective July 1, an executive order will take effect requiring every person working, living, visiting, or doing business in Seminole County to wear a face covering consistent with the current CDC guidelines while at all businesses, places of assembly, and other places open to the public. This means that all people in attendance at CPC for worship or other activities must wear a mask beginning this Sunday.

There are a few relevant exceptions. You may remove your mask if you are:
  • Outdoors and social distancing
  • Under the age of two years.
  • A mask would cause impairment due to an existing health condition or disability.
  • Eating or drinking.
  • Communicating with someone who is hearing-impaired and must see the mouth of someone wearing a mask in order to communicate.
We do have a limited number of adult and child-sized masks if you do not have one or forget yours. You will be asked to wear your mask at all times while worshiping or congregating at CPC. Please consider the needs of your neighbors and community at this time and act with grace and love by complying with this executive order.

Ongoing Worship Opportunities

We have returned to gathered worship at CPC, following social distancing and sanitary guidelines to protect all who feel safe to attend. If for any reason, you aren't able to be with us in person, we invite you to join us virtually for livestreamed worship at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday via our Facebook page. If you can't catch us at that time, a replay will be made available on our website each Monday.

Ministering to the Greenwalds

Barb Greenwald recently had surgery on her hand to repair a tendon in her thumb after a fall. Unfortunately, she is required to keep her thumb immobile and in a cast for six weeks. If you would like to minister to the Greenwalds while Barb recovers, you can do so by providing meals to their family. Please sign up to share some love and comfort as Barb's hand heals.

Give Today! 2020 Baby Bottle Campaign

It's become our custom at the beginning of each summer to raise money of the Oviedo Pregnancy Center, a local not-for-profit medical facility offering free women's services to more than 200 clients in our community each month. All of OPC's services are free and confidential. We support these efforts not only because we are proponents of life in the womb, but because we hold an ethic that values the Imago Dei. That is, we seek to follow the model of Christ that Paul laid out to the church at Philippi: ambassadors of reconciliation, instruments of God’s justice, and those who crave the righteousness of God, understanding that the call to defend life is a call to justice in the world. This year, we'll be filling our bottles virtually. Give a tax-deductible donation and share this opportunity with your friends and networks! You can start here.
