Youth Committee hosts relationship violence movie screening

Sarah's Inn's Prevention team and Youth Committee, in partnership with Oak Park and River Forest High School, hosted a screening of the One Love Foundation film, Escalation, on March 21st. The film chronicles a college couple's romantic relationship, illustrating how some unhealthy behaviors can escalate into abuse.  Students, parents, educators and community members participated in post-screening discussions hosted by Youth Committee members, OneLove Foundation Midwest Engagement Coordinator Emily Lloyd, Sarah's Inn Executive Director Carol Gall, Prevention Educator Hope Brock and Prevention Program Supervisor Chidori Lively. To learn more about the Sarah's Inn Youth Committee or our Together Strong Project school-based prevention programs, contact Chidori Lively at (708) 386-3305 x 1027, or at chidoril@sarahsinn.org.  (pictured below on left, Youth Committee member Jaycie Risch, Chidori Lively, Emily Lloyd, and Youth Committee member Emily Wunsch, on right - Youth Committee member Sammy Gotti, Hope Brock, Carol Gall, Youth Committee member Sydney Rayburn, and Emily Lloyd)
Inn the Community

Rotary Club of Oak Park and River Forest

The Rotary Club of Oak Park and River Forest is one of our fabulous community partners whose support helps Sarah's Inn make a huge impact throughout the year! By focusing their grant support on domestic violence initiatives over the past year, Sarah's Inn has been able to work with The Huskie Wrestling Family on prevention education and community service projects, and Rotarians have provided delicious food and volunteer support for our monthly client Meal Makers dinners.
