In June, Loneliness Minister Mims Davies launched the Let's Talk Loneliness campaign alongside organisations and charities across England, aiming to reduce the stigma around loneliness and encouraging people to talk. Elsewhere, it was London Tech Week, a global showcase of the UK's flourishing tech landscape, the Prime Minister launched the Tourism Sector Deal, we celebrated the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service recipients and announced the budget for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

Loneliness Minister Mims Davies launched our #LetsTalkLoneliness campaign, helping to break the stigma around loneliness and encouraging people to talk about it. The launch event saw the premiere of the 'Less of a Lonely Place' animation, featuring young people talking about their experiences.

#TechnologyIsGREAT at London Tech Week
"Britain remains the best place in Europe to start and grow a digital business" said Prime Minister Theresa May at the start of London Tech Week. Throughout the week we charted the success of a wide-range of the UK's start-ups, entrepreneurs and organisations that are flourishing in Britain's tech landscape.

PM announces first Tourism Sector Deal

Theresa May announced the UK's first Tourism Sector Deal, which will prepare Britain for an extra nine million visitors per year - including 130,000 new hotel rooms by 2025 and making the UK the most accessible country in Europe.
