June 2022 - TA Updates, opportunities, and calendar

A No Cost Extension (NCE) Request for the Federal Fiscal Year 2021 grant is available.

A Council must request a no cost extension for FFY 2021 funds.

Requests must be in writing and include information such as a justification for the request and plans to use the remaining funds during the extension. Click here for more information

Requests are due no later than July 15, 2022 and must be sent to your assigned Project Officer.

TA Office Hours to talk about State plan comments, requests for revisions, and other planning related questions will be held on the following dates:

June 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time
July 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time
August 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time

ITACC staff will send out a link to join on the Wednesday before the Friday session. If you need anything in-between, please contact Sheryl or Cherie (smatney@nacdd.org or cmoon@nacdd.org).

State plan revisions and state plan updates are due no later than August 15, 2022.

There will be NO additional State plan update period this calendar year. All updates must be included with state plan revisions in August.

ITACC Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Learning Opportunity - June 14, 2022

Please join us for an important conversation about how Councils are using demographic data to inform their work, both at the project/activity level and at the Council program level.

This knowledge sharing opportunity is a follow-up to our March 2022 webinar on Sensitive Practices when Collecting Demographic Data. During that webinar we asked participants if they used demographic data to inform state plan work, we learned that 32% of people responding said yes! and 39% of people responding said sometimes. This provides an opportunity for you to share your practices and knowledge with peers from other DD Councils in the states and territories. Please join us!

ITACC Resources

An online course about "Understanding Systems Change" is available. A course completion certificate if provided.

Check out this new resource! "Guide to Developing Success Stories", made available by the ITACC expert-level evaluation consultant group, Partnerships for Health. This guide includes a 5-step process for developing stories with tools to help organize relevant information and a reviewer's checklist to make sure the success story accomplishes its goal.

June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month

The purpose of this commemorative month is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally. The Stonewall riots in June of 1969 serves as the catalyst for this movement in the United States and around the world.

AoD/ACL Webinar: Innovative Use of CDC Funds: Peer-Led Examples

When: Wednesday, June 29 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM EST

What: Peer leaders from ACL’s DD programs will highlight innovative strategies and programs they implemented to help expand vaccine access for people with disabilities. There will be time for Q&As.
