CALL FOR ENTRIES
Entries for the coveted St Kilda Film Festival competitions are now open. Both emerging filmmakers and industry professionals are being called on to submit their creative works in the following categories; Australia’s Top 100 Short Film Competition, The SoundKILDA Music Video Competition, and Under the Radar for filmmakers under the age of 21.

The ABC and Screen Australia have partnered up  again to bring you the second edition of the comedy initiative FRESH BLOOD, which aims to kick-start the careers of young comedy writers, directors and performers.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
AIDC’s early career mentorship program ACCESS@AIDC is back for 2017, proudly presented in collaboration with Singapore-based international production company Beach House Pictures.

The AIDC are seeking applications from dedicated and hardworking new creatives keen to pursue a leg-up into the documentary, factual and unscripted screen content industry.

Successful applicants will attend exclusive mentorship sessions with some of the most successful people in the industry during AIDC - including:

Jennifer Peedom (Director of Sherpa)

John Battsek (Producer of One Day In September)

Donovan Chan (Creative Director, Beach House Pictures)

Kelrick Martin (Head of Indigenous, ABC TV)

Amy Hobby (VP Artist Programs, Tribeca Film Institute and Producer of What Happened, Miss Simone?)

Ezra Edelman (Director and Producer of O.J.: Made In America)

WORKSHOPS

Sanguineti Media’s Filmmaker HERO Workshop will run again this Summer Holidays. The program is designed for secondary students who are keen to learn about filmmaking, and receive hands on experience with cameras. No previous experience is needed. Anyone in year 7 to year 12 can register! The workshop runs from 9-13 January 2017 (9am - 4.30pm).
