Producer Pod - Film Stream Success!
The Phase 2 of Producer Pod started with Film Stream which was held from the 24th-26th September. The intense three day session comprised of script legend Stephen Cleary giving expert advice and knowledge on how to make a fantastic film. Thank you to all participants who came and pitched their ideas and scripts. We hope to see everyone at the TV Stream in November.

Producer Pod - TV Stream
Dates: TV Stream: Friday 25th - Sunday 27th November
Times: 9:30am - 5:30pm
Cost: Producer Pod Participants: $220 incl GST New Participants: $275 incl GST
A new Producer Pod initiative on TV development will be held by Gus Howard who has produced many TV series including Blue Heelers. Gus has been in the industry for twenty years and knows what is good television and will give indepth presentations about the necessary skills and requirements to develop a good television series. Topics covered will include pitching, writing and financing. Participants are encouraged to bring projects on the weekend to develop and gain advice. Lunch and snacks wil be provided throughout the weekend to stimulate your brain into action.

As part of the ACT Screen investment fund, successful projects are required to have Canberran people "attached" to their projects. Attachments are a paid learning experience for people wishing to gain valuable insight into the filmmaking process on a real working set. Attachments can last from two weeks to six months. We are starting a database of people who are interested in taking up attachment places on ACT Screen investment funded projects. ScreenACT is offering 3 registrations for the annual SPAA Conference held in Sydney from 13th -16th November 2011.

The ScreenACT Experience Level 'Three E's'
In order to make it easier for you to identify which of the many programs is most suitable, we have broken down the programs by experience level. After deciding which level is most appropriate for you, keep an eye on that colour badge to easily identify which programs are aimed at screen practitioners like you!
· New practitioners,
· Students in related fields,
· Hobbiests with no career aspirations, or
· People with less than three years experience of making screen content of any kind.
· Media field degree graduate,
· Part-time media business owner,
· A few festival credits for short films or music videos,
· At least three years experience of making screen content of any kind.
· Media professionals,
· Production businesses,
· Full time employees in production field,
· Has significant festival credits, broadcast credits and/or theatrical releases.

Kids Producers attending SPAA Conference
A one day ABCTV Workshop is being held at the SPAA Conference on the 16th November at Hilton Hotel Sydney. The workshop is aimed at producers with pre-school television projects at any stage of development. The producers will need to pitch their project to a panel of international expertise who will give detailed feedback and advice.
Space is limited and will be allocated by prior application. There is no charge for the workshop, which will take place at the ABCTV head office in Ultimo, Sydney.
To apply you must:
-Be registered to attend SPAA Conference
-Submit a one page description of your project, and provide details on the type of advice you seek, plus the CV's of the creator and the producer of the project
Submissions close 5pm Thursday 20th October 2011.
