FASHFEST is a growing annual Canberra Arts Festival featuring the work of designers, musicians and filmmakers.

We are looking to curate a series of short films to open each of the six shows of the 2016 festival: 29 September - 1 October.

This is an exciting opportunity for filmmakers, emerging or experienced, to develop and showcase their talents on a national and international stage.

Keep an eye out for the call for submissions which opens soon!

But ... for those of you who aren’t selected or decide not to enter, there are lots of other opportunities to acquire industry experience and make valuable contacts which may lead to job opportunities.

We need volunteer filmmakers to help out in a variety of ways, including:
  • Coordinating and supporting the six filmmaking teams
  • Producing behind-the-scenes social media clips in the lead-up to the festival (photo shoots, musician and catwalk rehearsals, hair and make-up tests, designer profiles, etc)
  • Assisting with video production at the festival
  • Editing highlights packages from each show
All volunteers will be credited on the productions they work on and will be listed as team members on the FASHFEST website and program.

How you can help depends on your experience.
