Fall Clean Up & e-Recycling

Fall Clean Up & e-Recycling is this weekend! September 29th marks our fourth annual community clean up where residents can bring down their old electronics for recycling, household trash and yard waste for proper disposal. A small pick up truck will be available to help move bigger things. This even is FREE for Crestmont Residents but donations would be greatly appreciated.

New Developments Update

We got a great response to our survey about the three new developments being proposed near our community, with many residents sharing specific comments about what they want or do not want to see in the new developments, as well as the risks they anticipate. We are extending the survey deadline to Monday, October 14 and will be inviting those not in our email list to participate as well. If you haven't had a chance yet, please give us your opinion through this survey link:

The city also has it's own more basic survey , which is now functional:

We will be presenting our survey results to the city during the meeting of the Calgary Planning Commission to decide on these proposals. However the meeting has been postponed and we are still waiting to hear from the city about an open house that will be held in Crestmont sometime in the fall. We will keep you posted through updates on our website and email.

Government of Alberta Budget 2014 Consultations Schedule

From the office of Alana DeLong, M.L.A....

Please see the linked Government of Alberta Budget 2014 Consultations Schedule which we will be hosting in Calgary, to gather your input on Budget 2014 and discuss your priorities as we continue to build Alberta together. It I critical that we hear from as many Albertans as possible as we set about designing a budget that speaks to their priorities and meets their needs. I invite all my constituents to attend any of the consultations.

Thank you in advance for your support in making the Budget 2014 Consultations a success.
