Aaron Dixon and Walidah Imarisha, WPJC's Keynote Speakers for International Day of Peace 2020

Welcome to the third day of our International Day of Peace weekend of events! We hope you are enjoying some delicious take-out from Brandywine Kitchen sometime today. 25% of their proceeds from today's business will be donated to WPJC!

Today, we're premiering the keynote speaker dialogue between Aaron Dixon, co-founder of Seattle's Black Panther Party, and Walidah Imarisha, renowned historian and writer from the PNW region. If you'd like to view this conversation after 6 p.m. today, a recording will be available on our Youtube page, Facebook and and website.

Tomorrow at 5 p.m., join us in watching the premiere of the film "We Are Many." The live event will feature exclusive music performances, a screening of the film and a Q&A panel discussion - including director Amir Amirani (co-producer Coup 53), cast members, and leaders from key activist organizations. The film tells the story behind the 2003 anti-Iraq War protests - the largest demonstration in history - and how it inspired the next generation of activists. You can watch the trailer here. The entry cost is $12 general admission and $7 for students & seniors - 40% of net profit from our ticket sales will benefit the WPJC! Check it out here!
