Meet one of AMWA's Anne C. Carter Global Health Fellows
Srutika Sabu is a first year Anne Carter Fellow and a rising fourth-year osteopathic medical student at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, Middletown NY. She hopes to practice primary care in underserved communities while collaborating on research and public health initiatives to improve access and equity in health care. Srutika has published her artwork in various literary journals and magazines and it has been used for activism and public health education as it uses themes of mental health, reproductive health care, and holistic health.
She hopes to develop a global health project to merge art and public health. Srutika also hopes to use her experiences as an AMWA fellow to go into an interdisciplinary public health and medical career to research, create and implement sustainable and fair solutions for global health issues.
