'Christmas Tales' this Sunday Morning
Sunday, November 29 • 9:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. @ Calvary
We will celebrate our first Sunday of Advent with two very special Sunday morning concerts, featuring singer-songwriter Russ Rosen and his band, as well as delightful storyteller, Justyn Rees.  The ‘Christmas Tales’ presentation highlights songs and stories about the various characters involved in the Christmas story in a way that you’ve never heard before.  This is a very worthwhile presentation to invite work colleagues, neighbors and friends to.

Women's Worship and Prayer Night
Monday, November 30 • 7:30 p.m. @ Calvary
We'd like to invite all of Calvary's women to come and join us for this monthly time of worship and prayer. Come spend some time singing, listening to Jesus and praying for each other, our church and whatever else Jesus lays on our hearts.  Please talk to Erin Camponi if you have any questions.

Refugee Sponsorship Info Night
Thursday, December 3 • 7:30 p.m. @ John-West's home
Everyone who is interested in participating in refugee sponsorship with Calvary is invited to Liz and Geoff John-West's home on Thursday, December 3 at 7:30 pm. We are going to have someone share their experience with sponsorship from both sides of the story.  We will also talk about next steps in applying through the sponsorship program.  Please refer to the church directory for the John-West's address or email Malcolm Scott at mscottradiologist@gmail.com for the address.  Please join us!

Next Teaching Topic at Calvary
Sunday, December 6 • 9:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. @ Calvary
Our next teaching series is entitled, ‘Prepare Him Room: Preparing to Receive the Gift of Christ.’ We consider Advent (the 4 weeks leading up to Christmas) to be an annual season of preparation.  As we consider the preparation of Zechariah, the shepherds and Mary, we can see what preparing ourselves for the coming of Christ can look like, as well as understand why preparation can deepen our experience of Christ’s coming and presence.

Worship Team Opportunities
The Worship Arts Team has volunteer opportunities available in the new year!  Particular areas of need include sound, media, guitar and drums.  The time commitment is 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturdays, and 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Sundays; the number of weeks you volunteer any given month is flexible.  Come with a heart to worship, as well as a desire to learn and grow.  If you are interested, contact Micaela Miller  (micaelas@calvarybaptistedmonton.com) or Alyssa Vander Meulen (alyssa.vdmeulen@gmail.comby December 7th

Festival of Trees
November 26-29 @ Shaw Conference Centre
This festival raises money to help support the life-saving care provided to patients at the U of A Hospital, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic every day.  The Festival of Trees is the home to great holiday shopping!  Kids can visit their Secret Shop, which has exclusive shopping for those 12 and under!  For more info or to buy tickets, visit festivaloftrees.ca.

Pray for our all of our guests who will be attending the ‘Christmas Tales’ concerts this Sunday morning, that the message of God’s gift to us through Jesus would have a profound impact in their hearts and upon their lives!

This youth event will be a super fun time where guys and girls will be split up and do separate activities with the leaders! The girls will hang out with some of our female leaders and they will do girly things, some kind of spa night where they can hang out and enjoy each other’s company. The guys will be hanging at the church playing a variety of games and competing with each other and spending quality bro time together. Can’t wait for this one!
