2nd Service Cancelled this Sunday!
Sunday, May 3rd  • 10:30 a.m. @ Calvary
We are cancelling our 11:00 o’clock service this Sunday to participate as a church in the Mill Creek Ravine Clean-up!  Directly following the 1st service, we will meet at one of two locations, which are:  Ritchie Meeting Point at the 77thAve ravine entrance;  Hazeldean Meeting Point at the 93rd Street Greenway entrance.
We will be given garbage bags and gloves at these locations, with an invitation to an awesome free BBQ at the Richie Hall directly afterwards.  We invite everyone to come (it’s kid friendly!) and be a part of this with us.  Our prayer is that Calvary will leave a stronger imprint in the people and appearance of its surrounding neighborhood through this simple act.

‘Parents For Choice in Education’ Election Newsletter
The upcoming provincial election is dealing with many issues related to our day-to-day lives, significantly more than just taxes and our economy.  Many feel that it is essential that parental autonomy and freedom of religion should be raised as election issues.  Related to this is the recent passing of Bill 10, which imposes gay straight alliances in every school in Alberta, regardless of whether the school is Christian or public.  While Parents for Choice in Education (PCE) is not opposed to GSAs, Bill 10’s imposition of GSAs and other activities seems to violate parent’s rights and the freedom of religion.  To become informed of their perspective and concerns, you are encouraged to read the PCE newsletter by clicking here!

‘Naturally Supernatural’ Conference
Weekend of June 12 & 13 in Edmonton
This conference, put on by the Vineyard Churches of Edmonton, will be a training event for the purpose of “equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry.”  Guest speaker will be Gary Best, former National Director of Vineyard Canada and author of the book, ‘Naturally Supernatural’.  For more info and to register, click here.
•   Pray for Ingrid Hoogenboom, who is currently off work and at home for the next 4 weeks due to a serious concussion.  Pray for a speedy recovery and healing, and that she would sense the daily presence of Jesus with her during this time of pain and nausea.
