Community Garage Sale this Saturday
Saturday, June 4 • 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. @ Calvary
Don't forget to come on out to the Garage Sale on our church parking lot this Saturday in order to mingle with members of our community who are participating, as well as to get in on some of the many deals to be had!  Your participation is really important, and will be an encouragement to those who have planned and prepared for this event over the past couple of months.

Next Teaching Topic at Calvary
Sunday, June 5 • 10:00 a.m. @ Calvary
We are introducing our new teaching series (Refresh: Praying the Psalms) this Sunday, with our first topic being "What are the Psalms Good For: An Introduction to the Psalter."  The Psalms give substance and shape to our daily prayers.  Join us as we experience various Psalms coming to life, bringing much needed refreshment.

KidzChurch Starts Early
Sunday, June 5 • 10:00 a.m. @ Calvary
This Sunday our children are invited to their extended worship time at KiDZChurch!  Check-in is at 10:00 a.m. at the children’s booth, and then kids will go immediately downstairs.

Church Picnic Coming Soon
Saturday, June 12 • 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. @ Emily Murphy Park
Our annual Church Picnic is just around the corner.  There will be lots of fun activities planned for all our kids (including a bouncy castle!), water balloon volleyball, the CANDYMAN, casual visiting time for adults, and a huge barbeque supper!  Overall, it’s a great opportunity to connect with your church family.  Feel free to invite your friends!

Needs of Our Refugee Family
We have re-inventoried everything we have received thus far for our Syrian refugee family, and still need these items.  If you are able to contribute any of the these items, please e-mail Ashlee Doyle. Thank you!

Physician-Assisted Suicide Legislation
In Canada, everyone has the right to their faith and their conscience.  The coming legalization of physician-assisted suicide will put healthcare practitioners and facilities in a compromised position.  Your help is needed to ensure Canadian's faith and conscience rights are protected, and to influence Senators in supporting a healthcare conscience protection clause.  Your emails will make a difference - they are paying attention to how many Canadians support this clause.  Please take 5 minutes to go to www.canadiansforconscience.ca and use the templates to support this very important clause, protecting physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and institutions that object.

House of Prayer Event
June 17 & 18 @ House of Prayer Edmonton (HoPE)
House of Prayer Edmonton is inviting everyone to a 27 hour prayer Assembly, focussing on the province of Alberta.  Numerous local churches will unite to pray into 7 key areas of our society: Business, Government, Media, Arts & Entertainment, Education, Family, and Religion.

Pray for John Kostelyk, who has a very serious infection in his leg and is undergoing IV antibiotic treatment as a result of a cut he received while on a recent mission trip to the Marshall Islands.
Also, please pray for Brenda Thiessen’s dad, who is recovering from surgery (yesterday) to remove colon cancer.
