Meal Train for the Lieberman Family
Every second day from May 8-20
Sign up here to volunteer to bring a meal to the Lieberman family after Angie's recent surgery.

Garage Sale Handbill Delivery
May 9-14 @ Ritchie and Hazeldean Communities
All of our Calvary Home Groups are being encouraged to find a time together to distribute a few handbills.  Because of your help, Calvary can host another great community event for both the Hazeldean and Ritchie communities.  Thank you so much for your contribution towards this!  Your Home Group leader will be chatting with you soon to figure out a time to do a section of door-to-door delivery with these important Community Garage Sale handbills.

Church Work Bee
Saturday, May 21 • 9:00 am - 12:00 p.m. @ Calvary
We’ve decided to hold off a little bit on our work bee, to get our parking lot better prepared for the Community Garage Sale, and to get some more projects lined up that need doing.  Please set aside a couple hours to help out.  Thanks in advance!

Meet & Greet BBQ
Sunday, May 29 • 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. @ the Scott's Home
Would you like to get to know Ben & Krista Ewert and their family a bit better?  Please join us for a meet & greet BBQ at Malcolm & Krista Scott’s home.  Bring picnic blankets/lawn chairs.  The Leadership Team will be serving up some tasty fixin’s!  Please save this date on your calendars!

Next Teaching Topic at Calvary
Sunday, May 8 • 9:00 a.m. & 11:00 a.m. @ Calvary
Our teaching topic for this Sunday is “Reframed: Living in the Power of the Holy Spirit.”  The ReFrame series is intended to help all of us to express our faith in everyday life, to encounter Jesus afresh, and allow His story to shape our own, at work and at home, between Sundays, and in all the places of our lives.

Sunday School Curriculum Advisory Group
If there are any parents/individuals who are interested in having input regarding the Preschool (2.5-4 yr. olds) Sunday School curriculum, please email Krista.

Fellowship Prairies "Equip" Conference
Thursday, May 5 • 7:00 p.m. @ Taylor Seminary
Our denominational "Equip" Conference has invited Mark Wollenberg of International Justice Mission to speak about seeking justice on behalf of the poor and vulnerable.  Mark passionately communicates a vision of every follower of Jesus committed to living justly in their community, and joining with others to see the wrongs of injustice made right in international contexts.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Housemate Needed
Two Christian females in their early 30's are looking for a female Christian roommate to fill the third bedroom in an apartment on Saskatchewan Drive.  The apartment overlooks the river valley and is two blocks from Wild Earth grocery store.  The bedroom has a walk in closet, with a shared bathroom.  Please call (780-691-9724) or email Amy for more information.  Apartment available May 1 and will remain available until filled.

Christian Anger Management Course
Starting May 12 • 7:00 p.m. @ Evangel Pentecostal
This highly informative and effective seminar covers topics such as "Defining Anger, Cycle of Abuse, Letting Go of Anger, Self-Rejection, and Forgiveness."  The seminar will be offered by Mark Thompson and Alanna Brochu from Immanuel Counselling Centre.  Pre-registration is required.  To register, call 780-690-2375.

Truth & Reconciliation Gathering
Saturday, May 14 • 9:00 a.m. in St. Albert
This interactive workshop is intended to help non-Indigenous communities/peoples begin (or continue) their path of reconciliation with First Peoples, to equip them to live in a good and just way with our First Nations sisters and brothers, and to better understand traditional struggles of faith and life set within the traditions and learning styles of Aboriginal Peoples.  Click here for more info and to register.

Pray for the people of Fort McMurray, that they would have an experience of God’s care for them in the midst of loss and the upheaval they’re going through, and that the Church in Fort McMurray would be equipped to rise up and help meet the needs of those in distress.
