Oh some are fond of Spanish wine, and some are fond of French...
Dear <<What can I call you?>>
There is a bit of a departure from the norm this month. I have dispensed with the set mixed dozen for May and are focusing on some seriously great wines that I've tasted over the last month and the start of the Bordeaux En-Primeur 2011. While this email will still be the main way I communicate the new and exciting wines I think you should consider buying, I have also been updating TWD's blog Locked In The Cellar with wines and notes as I have tasted them. If anything catches your eye then you can email me with questions or orders.
This month's randomly selected new subscriber and winner of a TWD $50 gift voucher is Luke S. The voucher is in the mail.
Keep on dancing.
Regards,
Phil, Tempier and Charlie

Bordeaux Offer
Quite possibly my favourite time of the year. Bordeaux En-Primeur is when the wines of the current vintage in production are tasted and sold (the wines will then arrive in 2013). The excitement it generates is quite infectious. This year the vintage on offer is 2011, a difficult vintage for red wines which means careful selection is required when purchasing wines. However Sauternes has prospered from the conditions and is looking like one of the best modern vintages. The upside is that prices are lower than previous years and there are some serious bargains to be had.
View the Current Bordeaux Offer. A lot of the top wines are still yet to be released, I will be updating this offer as it comes out.
Email me if you require guidance or would like to place an order.

Sweet Wine
To catch up on what I've said about this topic it starts here and continues here. By the best I am thinking German Riesling, Italian Moscato, Sauternes (see Bordeaux Offer), Moelleux and Demi-Sec wines from Loire (see the Pichot Offer), Icewine (Eiswein) from Canada and Germany, Moscatel from Spain to name a few (without even touching on fortifieds). Did I miss your favourite sweet wine? Did you want to taste some of these excellent wines? Email me and let me know your thoughts.
