Hidden Treasures Thrift Stores are an important part of City Mission's sustainable revenue efforts. Every donation and purchase made at Hidden Treasures supports the life-changing programming at City Mission, which serves residents from the entire Southwestern PA region. Not only does shopping at the stores help the Mission, but the presence of the stores in these communities allows customers to purchase serviceable clothing, furniture, household items, and glassware for a fraction of their retail value.  Sales of 40-50% off selected items are common.

With 4 locations across the tri-county area, which also serve as donation drop off points, City Mission maintains an active community engagement program through its stores. There is always a need for volunteers to price items, stock shelves, and serve as salespeople. To volunteer, simply get an application at the store or visit our website at

The Rostraver Hidden Treasures Thrift Store is located in the Rostraver Shopping Center at 1729 Rostraver Road, Suite B, Belle Vernon, PA 15012. Store hours are Monday – Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., closed on Sundays, (724) 243-3721. Visit for all locations and store hours.
GRC & MVR Members gather with Retired Marine Captain, Triathlete & Motivational Speaker, Eric McElvenny at the Feb. 25th event held at Monongahela Valley Hospital.

Eric shared stories and experiences of overcoming adversity, facing challenges and finding the strength and courage to live each day to the fullest.  Nearly 150 attendees listened intently to Eric's words, each finding their own take-away message in his presentation.

Special Thanks to Community Partners Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce, Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals of the Mon Valley and Belle Vernon Rotary for organizing the event.  And to the Event Sponsors: Monongahela Valley Hospital, Community Bank and Tregembo Motors for their contributions.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Challenged Athletes Foundation of which Eric is a spokesperson.
Another successful event is on the horizon when the GRC hosts the 2nd Annual Taste of the Town, Sunday, March 13, with 22 local establishments offering a sample of their finest menu items.
