Ambient pioneer Midori Takada: 'Everything on this earth has a sound'.
The Japanese musician broke up the minimalist boys’ clubs with her cult album Through the Looking Glass. Ahead of its reissue, she recalls trying to make ‘impossible’ music and playing songs on a Coca-Cola bottle. Read more on The Guardian.

The Artist-in-Residence Is Yen Tzu Chang.
Yen Tzu Chang (TW) is the recipient of the residency STEAM imaging jointly hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Medical Image Computing (MEVIS) and Ars Electronica. The Taiwanese media artist will thus have a unique opportunity to work closely together with the Institute’s research staff. Read more on Ars Electronica.

Sounds From Sulawesi - A documentation of Noise music from Sulawesi island, Indonesia.

A cassette which is part of a series where Noise Bombing tries to document people who do noise in certain cities or islands in Indonesia, this time 5 noise acts from Sulawesi island : Torgis, Oktaf O, Satan Loves Nintendo, DarahRawa and Ayam Kaili the cassette will be out on the 22nd April 2017, I guess that the orders will be possible through Bandcamp that already published several tapes, among them Sounds from Samarinda, a compilation that includes noise artists from Kalimantam island (Borneo). But you can also contact them directly too.

Music: Ramsha.
The artist hails from Karachi–currently based in Toronto. Her first self-released EP ‘Daastanemarg’ (Fable of Sorrow) spoke out to the audience of the inspirations, internal struggles and outward appearances she identifies with. Ramsha also collaborated with Gebrüder Teichmann and the Forever South Collective recently during Soundcamp South Asia which led to the inaugural release on the label Noland titled, “Karachi Files”. The ensemble performed live in Berlin and Karachi in 2016. Read her full interview on Embossmag.

Open call
Funded by Goethe-Institut China and the Department for Culture and Education of the German Consulate General Shanghai since 2014, AM Art Space has hosted German Artists Residency Program for three years. This year, the program aims at art researchers, academics of related fields and writers up to the age of 40 years (by the time of the residency) to apply for. .
