This month we are highlighting an article on using Drupal, a content management system, (CMS) as an open source, easy way to keep your website or mobile app updated. The old saying “content is king” still rings as true today as it did when mainstream websites were developed 15 years ago.
At Accella LLC, we work with several open source CMS’s including Joomla!, WordPress, and Drupal. Having the ability to update content in real-time on your website or mobile application is extremely helpful to keep your message fresh and relevant in today’s fast paced market.
For larger, enterprise sized websites and mobile applications, a solid CMS can be critical to give multiple users separate rights to update content for specific departments without having overall administrative control. That means less headaches for the IT department and more productivity for all.
As always feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
VP of Business Development
From not doing your homework, to relying on your development team to perform simple updates, our designers, developers, and project managers weigh in on what to avoid
Earlier this year we launched a white paper focusing on seven common mistakes made in mobile development. Many of customers asked to have a similar white paper created for implementing drupal. So our designers, developers, and project managers got together and shared some of the mistakes they see most often.
If you're looking to implement Drupal, this is a must read. Even if you already have it implemented, or are looking to work with another CMS, there is a ton of great information in here worth taking a look at.

Our work with The National Archive's Earns Top Honors at the Advertising Industry's Award Ceremony
In late 2010, Accella teamed up with Viderity, an Ad Agency based in Washington DC, to create a mobile application for the iPhone, iPad, and Android platform.
The app had a very quick turnaround time, while Viderity was working on designs, Accella was working development and back-end integration so the app could be launced in January of 2011.
You can read more about the app and the process in the mobile portfolio section of our website,
or read more about the Addy's in the news section of our site.
In addition to taking home a Gold for our work with the National Archives, Accella also took home a Silver for our work with Home Exchange, an app designed
to bring together people looking to swap vacation rental properties.

Accella's Favorite Spam Comment of the Month
We receive our fair share of spam comments each month on our blog - this month's favorite comes from "myspace hack" (Myspace is still around?):
"I’ve been exploring for a little for any high-quality articles or blog posts in this kind of space . Exploring in Yahoo I finally stumbled upon this web site. Reading this info So i am satisfied to show that I have a very just right uncanny feeling I found out just what I needed. I such a lot certainly will make sure to don?t put out of your mind this website and give it a glance on a continuing basis."
We got lost after the first sentence...still not sure what this one is all about.
