From the Principal

Dear Parkview Families,
The weather continues to get warmer and our students and staff are finding many creative ways to learn together inside the building and outdoors. It has been a year of so many changes for all of us; at Parkview, in our home lives, and in the broader community. We sincerely appreciate the partnership we have had with our families as we worked through the challenges and highlighted the silver linings. We optimistically look forward to more normal days ahead for our school community and our students. Parkview has always been a school with incredible heart, and I have felt that more than ever during this past year.

The Safe Learning Plan is in effect until the last day of school. Under this plan, our current safety and mitigation measures will remain in place, including: students and staff continuing to wear masks in the building, social distancing as much as possible, and cleaning/sanitation measures. We are providing more opportunities during the day for students to take their masks off outside, if they choose, which has been wonderful to see more smiles in the sunshine!

We are planning for next year and look forward to a new beginning. Thank you for your continued support and partnership!

Sincerely,
Nicole Garcia

Newly Announced

Students to Keep iPads/Hotspots Over the Summer

Students will again be allowed to keep their district-issued iPads and hotspots over the summer. This allows learning opportunities to continue throughout the summer.  Exceptions include graduating seniors and students unenrolling from District 196.  For more details and guidance around this, please visit this website which can also be found in the About menu of the district’s website (http://www.district196.org).  If you have questions, contact your child’s school or submit at https://www.district196.org/techhelp.  Thank you.

PTO

Committee Nominations

We are looking for people to take the lead on PTO sponsored events. Many of the projects/events can have committees so you won't be tackling the event on your own. There are people who can help answer questions on what has been done previously. If you would like additional information on any of the positions, please send us an email at parkviewelempto@gmail.com. We need your help to make our events happen! Sign up using either the Sign Up Genius link or fill out the Nomination form and send it to the email address above.
