Benzie County Water Festival

Dear <<First Name>>,

A huge thank you to all those who were able to attend one of our recent fundraisers and to those who have donated from afar. The response has left us humbled. Our efforts continue as we work to build The Water Festival into an event that promotes community, shows off our wonderful county, and celebrates the integral role of water in our lives.

Help Spread the Word

There is still work to be done, money to be raised, and people to be made aware of the festival. If you know someone who wants more information, or someone who you think would enjoy the festival, please consider forwarding this email to them, or sending them to our fabulous website, where they can subscribe to our newsletter, make a donation, and keep up on all the latest news. Also, please consider “liking” us on Facebook and suggesting your friends like us as well.

A Fundraising Partnership

Additionally, if you are considering a remodel to your home, or need to paint your ice shanty, now is the time to buy some green building products from Eco-Building Products. Eco-Building Products will donate a portion of all sales in February to the Water Festival! (The solar tube skylights are highly recommended.)

2011 WaterFest Fishing Tournament!

Ray Stark has agreed to put on a fishing tournament for the Benzie Water Festival. Ray runs dozens of tournaments and is well known, and well connected, in the angler’s circuit. His love for fishing, his community, and educating youth about fishing is obvious to anyone who spends a few minutes talking to him. The fishing tournament will be throughout Benzie County on March 5th with prizes of cash and treasures. For more information vist the event post on our website. If you’d like to be a sponsor of the tournament (cash or prizes), please email us at

Once again, we thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing everyone at the festival on March 19th.

P.S. Benzie County local Colin Merry put together a great article in the Grand Traverse Insider on the Water Festival.
