Squash Membership Sale
No Limits is offering 20% off annual memberships until January 6, 2019.
20% off the twelve-month rate: 525-20% = 420.
If you are likely to play more than once a week, any membership is cheaper than using punch cards and allows you to book in advance and to play as much as you like during that time.
The offer is available until January 6;
see the front desk staff at No Limits for details.
Winter Squash Leagues
The weekly squash leagues will start up again in the new year. The league will run on Wednesday evenings, and likely also again on Thursdays, starting in the second week of January, on January 9 and 10.
If you would like to play in the league and you haven't already confirmed, send us a note at email@example.com.
Kamloops Women's Squash Weekend
February 1-3 2019
The KSA is hosting a women's weekend tourney on the first weekend of February. All levels are welcome; there will be matches for everyone from novice to advanced players. This is a no-frills event with an emphasis on fun.
Players can sign up online at sportyhq here
; for more info, email the KSA at firstname.lastname@example.org
Free Squash Coaching for Students
The TRUSU Squash Club is offering free coaching with gear provided to students through December 2018 to January 31 2019.
For lessons or to connect with other players, contact the squash club on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/816992345007511
or the KSA by email (email@example.com) or phone (250-314-9600).
The box league
runs throughout the year, and works well for players who can't play regularly in the weekly league, and also for anyone who wants to get an extra game in here and there. You will have to commit to playing your matches each session, which will average about one match a week (or 4-5 in the last week, for the procrastinators).
If you are interested in playing in the box league, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
River City Squash
River City Squash is a program for at-risk children and youth, combining sport coaching with tutoring and mentoring. The intent of the program is to connect with students in grades four to seven and to offer support through to graduation from high school.
RCS offers the program at no cost to the children or their families, and we are deeply grateful for the support we have received from our supporters to run the program. We will need volunteers once again in the new year, to help on the squash court, to act as mentors and chaperones, and to help with homework and academic studies. If you would like to help in any way, as a volunteer or to offer support financially (donations are tax-deductible), please contact us at 250-314-9600 or email Dave at email@example.com.
The website for the program can be found at www.rivercitysquash.org, and the summer 2018 newsletter pdf is available here.
