A Note on our upcoming agms
We postponed the 2020 squash agm last December, due to the issues and uncertainty created by the pandemic. Options for indoor recreation have slightly improved since then, and we are continuing to look for options to bring squash courts to Kamloops. The courts at TRU are still unavailable, and while those courts continue to be a target to reopen, we are looking for ways to establish new courts elsewhere in town. No definite news at this time, it is a work in progress...
We will be holding two agms in the near future: the 2020 agm will be held before the end of October (to meet the extension deadline of November 1). That meeting might be a simple and quick meeting to cover the need, and hopefully we can look forward to a more social gathering for our 2021 agm, either before the end of the calendar year or possibly in the first quarter of 2022.
If you are interested in attending the 2020 agm to be held this month, please let me know and I will make sure you have the details to attend once we have set a date. Email firstname.lastname@example.org (email) or email@example.com (email). Thanks.
Where to play
The closest courts to Kamloops are in Salmon Arm at the local rec centre or in Vernon at Rosters; towns nearby with squash courts are shown on the map below. There will be players traveling out of town (to Salmon Arm and Vernon, and possibly farther afield) to play this winter, until we can access courts here. If you are interested in driving and/or sharing a ride to play, or if you are looking for someone to play, send us an email here.
