Local Spring Squash Tourney: April 5-7

We are hosting our fourth spring squash tourney on April 5-7;
deadline to enter is midnight April 1.

This will be a fun weekend of squash for all levels of players. The entry fee is $40, which includes Friday pizza, Saturday casual bbq, door prizes, and a 3 match minimum. All levels are welcome, we have entries available in Men's and Women's A, B, C, and D levels (some levels may be combined).

We encourage anyone who would like to play to sign up - if you have questions please send an email. Free lessons and drills are still available to encourage newer (or slightly out-of-practice) players!

You can sign up online here, or if you prefer you can sign up and pay cash through tournament chair Kyle Crowder (email) or Dave Clutton (email).

Spring / Summer Squash League

The winter squash leagues are running on Wed and Thurs evenings. We may add some players, in any event the leagues will likely wrap up in April. If you would like to to play in the current leagues, or in a spring league, send us an email. We will run the spring league if we have enough interest.

Monthly Box League

The monthly box league is online, at https://www.sportyhq.com/club/box/view/303.

The box league works well for players who can't play regularly in the weekly league, and also for those who want to get an extra game in here and there. You will have to commit to playing your matches each month, which will average about one match a week (or 4-5 in the last week, for the procrastinators).

If you are interested in playing in the box league, send us an email at info@kamloopssquash.ca.

TRU Squash

If you are a student interested in playing on the weekend, to have a lesson or just hit the ball around, email  info@kamloopssquash.ca or text 250-314-9600 and we'll set it up. Gear and coaching provided as needed by the KSA (at no cost).
Rides from campus to the courts are available. Drop-in fees for students are $5 on weekends.

There is a facebook group starting up again for students who want to connect for a game, check it out here: TRU Squash Club.

Junior Squash Sessions

Junior squash sessions may start soon once again on weekends, depending on interest. Equipment can be provided for any participant as needed. Ages 7 and up.
Email us for more information or to sign up: info@kamloopssquash.ca.

Free Online Ref Course

In conjunction with Squash BC, the KSA is offering Squash Canada's Club Referee Certification Course to local players. This course normally costs $29.99; thanks to funding from the Kamloops Blazers Sports Society (from a grant in 2015), we are able to offer this course for free.

This online course features high definition videos with slow-motion technology, plus downloadable course materials and links to additional officiating resources. Successful completion of the course will certify you as a Club Referee (the first level of certification in the Squash Canada referee system).

If you are interested in taking the course, email us at info@kamloopssquash.ca and we will provide the link and the code to access the course.
