OCTOBER IS NATIONAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH

This October, we will be teaming up with Turning Point of Lehigh Valley to raise money to work toward the elimination of domestic violence;  increase community awareness of the problem;
and empower victims of domestic violence by producing the show A...MY NAME IS ALICE,  an all-female musical review that showcases strong female characters from all walks of life empowering each other.

$40 Dinner/Show - 6 PM: Full dinner buffet with coffee, tea, soda;7:30 PM A...MY NAME IS ALICE performance 

$25 SHOW ONLY - 7:10 PM Doors open for SHOW ONLY ticket holders;7:30 PM A...MY NAME IS ALICE performance. This option does NOT include dinner or beverages. There will be a cash bar available.

 $320 GROUP TABLES - Group Tables are perfect for networking groups, small businesses, family tables, etc.  Group tables seat 8 and include all the benefits of the Dinner/Show ticket holder WITHOUT the ticket fees.

We need your help.  Over the course of the next few weeks, the staff of Star of the Day Event Productions will be very busy with our first promotional mailing that will book 'Poppy and the Magic Tutu' all over Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.  We can't do this without your help.  Our goal is to raise $3,000 in order to complete the costume and sets for the show to take it on the road.  That's 500 - $5 donations....or 250 - $10 donations....or ... well you get it.  We are also very interested in sponsorship support for the show.  I hope you will scroll down the page and make a donation to help Poppy see the world.  Thank you!

 

 

 

Meet Janis Greim


Janis Greim was born and bred in the great state of Maine. She has been a Valley resident for over 2 years and finds refuge her small waterfront cottage on the Lehigh River…it ain’t the Atlantic, but it’s water! By day, she works as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in Geriatric rehab. Otherwise, during the summer months, you might find her on her bike or in the water training for triathlons. Of course, her greatest passion has always been performing. Over the years, Janis has had the great pleasure of working both on and off stage. She served as make-up designer for Ten Bucks Theatre Company in Bangor, Maine for two seasons, and her favorite on-stage roles include Maureen in Rent, Janet in The Rocky Horror Show; Velma Kelly in Chicago, Female #1 in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change; Snoopy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; and The Witch in Into the Woods. Janis would like to send her warmest thoughts to Andrew and Sandra for allowing her to be her crazy self.

Hey everyone.  Star of the Day has a new blog...SOUL MUSIC.  One of our missions is to encourage both performer and community alike through music, theater, and dance.  Our blog is being written to help people understand the business of performing.  Whether it be mentally preparing for a role or dressing to the 9s to rock out, everything a performer does has a REASON, PURPOSE and STRATEGY.  So follow our blog, share it, and comment.  AND if you have something to share, contact STAR OF THE DAY to become a blog contributor.
