Star of the Day Event Productions welcomes back Timothy Walton as he headlines our March 7, 2013 SPOTLIGHT CABARET 'Sing Yo Face Off.'  Timothy has been singing with the Spotlight Cabaret since September 2011.  He appeared as a featured singer in the August Concert 'Songs of Summer' where he wowed the audience with his rendition of Open Arms, originally recorded by Journey.  He also opened up for DUETS starring Janis Greim in September 2012.  You will NOT want to miss this amazing cabaret filled with songs that will surely give spine tingling chills!

Meet our March SPOTLIGHT CABARET Headliner - Timothy Walton, Tenor/Actor/Director is an alumnus of TCNJ graduating with a B.M. in Vocal Performance & New England Conservatory earning a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Opera Performance studying under Carol Haber.  An avid performer, previous stage credits include leading role is The Mikado, Threepenny Opera, The Student Prince, Sweeney Todd, Die Fledermaus, Plaid Tidings, Brigadoon, Into the Woods, Johnny Guitar, Little by Little, Elegies, CATS, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Miss Saigon, Godspell, and Little Shop of Horrors.  Supporting roles in The Civil War, The Buddy Holly Story, Dreamgirls, Hot n’ Cole and Jykell and Hyde.  Tim has furthered his theater craft in the art of Stage Directing (Charlie Brown, The Mousetrap, Side By Side by Sondheim, Miss Saigon, RENT, Sweeney Todd, Hello, Dolly!, Smokey Joe’s Cafe) and Vocal Coaching (Les Mis, My Fair Lady, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Camelot, Phantom of the Opera and Aida).  When not perusing a career in theater, Tim is starting to make the rounds on the Cabaret Theater circuit performing at Don’t Tell Momma, Uncle Charlie’s, The Duplex in NYC, The Chaddsford Winery, The Tin Angel and Odette’s in PA; while also being featured on the Mel White recording Sea of Grace & the Kevin Ray recording of The Last Word.   Tim studies voice with Paul Spencer Atkins (Philly, PA), and teaches Vocal Music at Franklin Township High School in Somerset, NJ; where he co-directs the Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers, directs the Gospel Choir, and Adjunct Faculty of AADA in NYC.  Under his direction, the choirs have received perfect scores at various choral festivals and have been invited to perform at numerous events throughout the state. In the hours between midnight and five after midnight, Tim and his fiancée Lauren have started their own theater company, LATE THEATER COMPANY.  Edward Albee’s The Zoo Story was the company’s inaugural performance.  Visit for upcoming and past productions.  You will also be able to visit Tim’s new website, in the very near future.

Hey everyone.  Star of the Day has a new blog...SOUL MUSIC.  One of our missions is to encourage both performer and community alike through music, theater, and dance.  Our blog is being written to help people understand the business of performing.  Whether it be mentally preparing for a role or dressing to the 9s to rock out, everything a performer does has a REASON, PURPOSE and STRATEGY.  So follow our blog, share it, and comment.  AND if you have something to share, contact STAR OF THE DAY to become a blog contributor.
