Yarn Carnival Trunk Show

Just in! We have a fabulous trunk show from Yarn Carnival in Austin. These super special yarns will be here until February 11th so get them while you can!

Yarn Carnival, a hand-dyed yarn line from Austin knitting and crochet instructor and designer Ana Clerc, will be featured in a trunk show (dates here.). Ana is a huge color, science, history and art geek, with colors inspired by and named after her favorite obsessions.  Her line of supersaturated, complex, geek-inspired yarns is a treat for the eyes and a feast for the hands.  We will have fingering and lace weight yarns that are perfect year-round for Texas weather, in buttery soft Superwash Merino.
Chair Massage
Misty is will be in the shop offering chair massage on February 1. Please call the shop to set up an appointment time: 214-412-2889

Colorwork is FUN!
Saturday, February 22nd and March 8th, 1-3pm with Alissa.
Use two colors and just the knit stitch to make our stunning colorwork scarf. This project is worked in the round on a short circular needle, eliminating the need to purl and making it a breeze to follow the pattern. Pick two highly contrasting colors of DK weight (we've used Venezia sport) so that your stitches will shine. You will need approximately 600 yds of each and a US#6, 16" circ.

This class is two days, two hours each day.
You must call the shop at 214-412-2889 to reserve a spot for this class. The cost is $30.

First Thursday Spin-in
Knitting Fairy is pleased to host a Spin-In on the first Thursday evening of each month. February's date is the 5th. These spin-ins are free to attend and all are welcome!

Grab your spinning wheel or drop spindle, some fluff (or buy some here!) and join us from 7-9pm. Don’t know how to spin? That’s fine! We’ll help you start.
Alissa is coming to FiberFest 2015 and not JUST to vend!
Yes, they have finally talked her into coming out of her teaching retirement for the 10 year reunion of DFWFiberFest! How can it possibly be TEN YEARS?!  Anyway, Alissa was one of the original teachers at the first DFWFiberFest and will be teaching one of her most popular classes on Saturday morning at the event.  Registration for classes goes LIVE on Saturday, November 1 at 10:30am.  Classes will sell out quickly, so make plans to get some computer time that morning for the BEST selection.

And right after Fiber Fest, Knitapalooza is coming March 28!
