Crooms AoIT Boys Bowling Team Places 4th at 2013 FHSAA Districts; Mark Briggs Places 1st!

BowlingThe Crooms AoIT boys bowling team placed 4th in district competition this year. Freshman Mark Briggs bowled a 607 series to become the district champion, allowing him to advance to the state championship. At state competition, Mark tied for 130th out of over 200 bowlers with a series of 658. With such a strong showing as a freshman, we're sure Mark has a bright bowling future head of him. According to our not-so-illustrious one-man panel of Crooms AoIT sports historians, Mark is Crooms AoIT's first district champion in bowling and the third male bowler to advance to state. Andrew Hennes, Class of 2006, advanced as a senior while Class of 2011 grad Andrew Figueroa advanced as a sophomore.

Micheal Morgan

Why did I become a member of The Founders Society?

I fell in love with Crooms as an 8th grader looking forward to high school. Crooms AoIT has given me more than any other educational setting I have been in. I believe in what Crooms AoIT is doing, and I would like to see our Alumni Association be able to be more actively involved with the school itself. My hope is we are eventually able to create a bridge between the alumni and the student body, and create some interesting synergies when it comes to hands-on learning for Crooms AoIT students. - Read more about Micheal Morgan

Nikko Ritter: On Supporting the Alumni Association

I felt I am in a position to be able to help, and I felt Crooms AoIT's biggest weakness has been it is underfunded, as are most educational institutions. Our school's population isn't necessarily the wealthiest, but we have continually been able to perform at a high caliber and have some of the greatest successes in one the best counties for education in Florida. So, finally being a position that allowed me to help address this weakness, I decided I would. - Read more about Nikko
