Three athletics grants awarded to Crooms AoIT teams

The Crooms AoIT Alumni Association provided three (3) athletic grants to seven (7) sports teams and clubs at Crooms AoIT this year. The decision follows a review of the highest number of applications received for the 8th cycle of our Athletics Grant Program. Each team is a first-time applicant for the grant and include:

  • The boys and girls cross country teams: $250 for operational support
  • The boys and girls track/field teams: $250 for operational support
  • The girls cheerleading team: $300 for practice mats

Community Scholarship increased to $1,000

The 14th Annual Crooms AoIT Alumni Association Community Scholarship has been increased to $1,000. This year the scholarship is included in the newly created Crooms AoIT Multi-Scholarship Application (a joint endeavor between the school, Business Advisory Council, and Crooms AoIT Alumni Association) which offers  students the opportunity to apply for eight different scholarships at once.

Class of 2006 cooking extraordinaire Jeremy Fogg  will be competing on Food Network’s new show Chopped Sweets! Tune-in Monday, March 23rd at 10pm EST/9pm Central to see Jeremy in action.

Tech Innovation Scholarship sponsored by Class of 2009

The Crooms AoIT Alumni Association and the Class of 2009 are sponsoring this year's release of the Tech Innovation Scholarship. The scholarship has been increased to $1,000 and also utilizes a Google Forms application to allow for streamlined submission. The Tech Innovation scholarship rewards graduating seniors for their technical acumen based on project work submitted.

Calling all Croomies, calling all Croomies: are you interested in getting more involved? Would you like to network more with the local business community? The Crooms AoIT Alumni Association is looking for one to two representatives to attend Business Advisory Council meetings and be an active part of the Crooms AoIT ecosystem. Tell us, Croomies: "Where are they now?"

Let us know how you are doing since graduating. Crooms AoIT is restarting the "Where are they now?" project. The project is looking to highlight the career successes of alumni as a way to promote academic success for current Croomies. A bulletin board or electronic display could be created to highlight where all of our alumni are and what they are doing, and respoonses could even support future Crooms AoIT marketing material. Participate now by taking 3 minutes or less to fill out the Where are they now? Google Form.
