We put a lot of time, energy and resources into publishing The Journal. Each print edition costs us more than $30,000 produce, when you factor in the need to pay reporters, photographers and editors, plus the costs of printing and mailing thousands of copies.
Most of our content is distributed free-of-charge to you as a public service, because we think infusing the civic culture with trustworthy and inspiring information is important. Each year we try to do more with the resources we're given, but that's tough when costs for content, printing and mailing keep going up.
To keep our service strong, we're asking you to donate $75 or more. Thanks to the NewsMatch program, your donation will pay for not just your use of The Journal but will also help keep it available for at least two other people who don't have the resources to donate.
