Impressions 8 was a success! Lots of positive feedback about the prints on display. Thanks to all those members who submitted works & volunteered their time in doing tasks involved in staging the show.  The little experiment in payment structure will be evaluated in coming weeks. Workshop
Workshops are a perfect way to support Impress & gain skills from professional tutors. Have you done one lately or shared the exciting workshops with friends? We are pleased to announce an upcoming workshop with visiting artist  Artist Christopher Hagen (USA). Christopher is undertaking an MFA  in  Printmaking  Illinois State University & has trained at the Tamarind Institute of Lithography Albuquerque. Cost = $260 (non members) & $220 (members)Materials cost $25.



Gallery
Impress members don't let 2014 go by without showing off. Impress gallery is now accepting one week stints in the gallery. Yes its time to dust off those prints & exhibit in the lead up to christmas. Cost for members is now $300 per week with an added bond of $150. Emails to Peter,  gallery@impress.org.au

Studio
A reminder to keep your swipe card on your person all the time while in the studio as you will not be able to get back in if you are locked out. One you have completed an induction studio access   we are all occupying the space safely.
Website
Out with the old in with the new. The  new website is up & running. So far the features of the new space seem to be working well. Thank you to Sue Pickford for the time & effort in transferring all the data.

 IMA Brisbane:Zine Making Workshop. 1 November 2014 – 2:00PM-4:00PM| Free.
Join us for a zine making workshop with Slubberdegullion Magazine editor and Gunk band member Alex Campbell. Participants are invited to create a zine in response to the Sarah Browne and Mierle Laderman Ukeles exhibitions and take their art creations home. This event is free and suitable for children aged 8 and above.
