Congratulations to the New NAI Senior Members!
Forty Senior Members were inducted at this year's Annual Meeting by Paul Rosenthal, Deputy Chief Communications Officer, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and Paul R. Sanberg, Ph.D., FNAI, President, National Academy of Inventors.
The Senior Member program was launched in 2018 and recognizes active faculty, scientists, and administrators from NAI Member Institutions who have demonstrated remarkable innovation producing technologies that have brought or aspire to bring, real impact on the welfare of society. They also have growing success in patents, licensing, and commercialization, while educating and mentoring the next generation of inventors.

A new award was announced and presented and this year’s conference. The Sentinel Award was given for the first time to Fellows and NAI board members Rob Duncan and Karen Burg. Also recognized was Andrei Iancu, former Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
The trio was singled out for their work as ambassadors who have supported and championed the Academy. Board member and Fellow Howard Federoff received the Founders Award for his support in establishing the Academy.
