TOP 100 ANNOUNCED!
 
The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) and the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) are proud to announce the release of the the Top 100 Worldwide Universities Granted U.S. Utility Patent in 2021. The report uses data obtained from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and highlights the vital role patents play in university research and innovation.

The NAI is pleased to be releasing this list of the top innovation universities in the world in conjunction with the IPO for the tenth year in a row.”

Congratulations to NAI Fellow and Board Member Cato Laurencin on receiving the Saint Lucia Medal of Honor for his contributions and impact in the field of medicine and regenerative engineering! Laurencin was bestowed the prestigious honor by the Prime Minister and Acting Governor-General as Chancellor of the Order of Saint Lucia.

Laurencin has also been announced as the 2022 BMES Robert A. Pritzker Distinguished Lecture Award recipient, which will be awarded at the upcoming BMES annual conference.
 
NAI Fellow Rakesh K. Jain has been named as the recipient of the 2022 Szent-Györgyi Prize for Progress in Cancer Research for his work in identifying and overcoming barriers in the tumor microenvironment to improve delivery and efficacy of anti-cancer medicines.
